Canine Natural Cures

Canine Natural Cures is a UK dog supplement brand offering natural health supplements, homeopathy and herbal products for dogs. The family-run business has over 25 years of experience helping dog owners with common healthcare concerns, from itchy skin and fleas to urinary issues, anxiety, joints, digestion and behaviour.

We worked with Canine Natural Cures to migrate the business from a little-known ecommerce platform to Shopify and create a website that could bring together a large product range, advice-led content and a friendly customer support experience. The site needed to make it easier for dog owners to shop by concern, discover best sellers and feel reassured that they were choosing products from a knowledgeable, caring business.

Shopify was the right platform for the project because Canine Natural Cures needed a flexible ecommerce store that could support more than 100 products, complicated upsells, product variants, bundles, best-seller sections, shipping offers, customer reviews and ongoing advice content.

The Brief

Canine Natural Cures needed a Shopify website that could present a specialist pet health range in a clear, trustworthy and easy-to-shop way.

The website needed to communicate several important messages at once:

The site also needed to support search visibility for commercial and advice-led searches around natural dog supplements, dog homeopathy, itchy dog remedies, natural flea support, dog anxiety supplements, dog urinary support, dog joint supplements and pet wellness products.

The Challenge

Pet health ecommerce is a trust-led category. Dog owners are not simply buying a product. They are often trying to solve a concern for a dog they love, and they need reassurance before making a purchase.

Canine Natural Cures also has a large and varied product range. Products include homeopathic remedies, herbal tinctures, flea and tick care, calming support, urinary products, skin and itch products, joint support, ear care, dental support, treats and bundles. Without clear structure, customers can struggle to find the right product for their dog’s specific concern.

The migration itself added another layer of complexity. Canine Natural Cures was moving from a little-known platform to Shopify, with over 100 products and complicated upsells and variants that needed to be handled carefully. The launch also took place over a bank holiday weekend, which meant responsive support and problem-solving were especially important during the final stages.

The challenge was to create a Shopify website that could support a broad catalogue while still feeling friendly, helpful and personal.

The homepage introduces best-selling natural dog supplements, including products for incontinence, urine grass repair, anxiety, fleas and ticks, grass or pollen sensitivity, itchy skin, anal gland support, probiotics, joints, ears and dental care. This gives visitors quick access to popular products while also showing the breadth of the range.

The tone is friendly and direct, with messaging such as “All Dogs are Different” and “We Understand Dogs”. This helps the website feel less clinical and more supportive, which is important for customers who may be worried about their dog.
